Miso Cream Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons white miso paste
  • 1 cup of mushroom, roughly chopped (any type)
  • Olive oil
  • Pasta for 1 person
  • 1 red onion, diced
  • Few shiso leaves, sliced

Instructions:

  1. Get your salted water going and once it starts to boil add the pasta. Cook according to the instructions on the box.Put pan on medium-high heat and add oil. Once its hot enough at the diced onion and saute till soft. Then add garlic.
  2. Add mushroom when you start to smell the garlic and give everything a good stir.
  3. Add the miso paste into the mushroom and onion mix. Stir it around then pour in the heavy cream. Stir until all of the miso paste have dissolved into the cream.By now you should have a nice light brown bubbly creamy mixture. Give it a taste now. Season accordingly. Now add the pasta into the cream. If it is a bit dry add some pasta water into it.
  4. Serve it up on a nice plate and sprinkle the shiso leaves on top and dig in.
